How to Grow Fast on YouTube What is the number one piece of advice that new creators are always given if they want to grow fast on YouTube? Just be consistent! That’s it. It’s as easy as that.
So you follow that advice. You upload video, after video, after video. You stay consistent for weeks, months, maybe even years, and still nothing. What is going on?
However, there are right and wrong ways to actually be consistent on YouTube. As a creator, you won’t get anywhere by just uploading videos. You get results by doing the following three things consistently.

3 Killer Ways to Make Your YouTube Videos Perform 10x Better!
taking off? These three tips won’t only improve your videos but also help you reach your goals a lot quicker.
#1 Consistently Develop Strong Ideas for Content
The foundation of every great YouTube video is a strong idea. No matter how good your production values are or how often you post, if your ideas are weak, your video will be too. It’s just the truth. YouTube superstar MrBeast has this to say about content ideas.
“The idea is so freaking important…. Most YouTubers could pull triple the views with half the work if they just have better ideas.. Once you realize how important the idea is, you just obsess about how to get more ideas.”
The point is that it’s not about the intensity of your upload schedule. It’s about the intensity of your ideas that matter, especially when the right idea has the strength to carry your channel farther than dozens of weaker concepts combined.
Brainstorming should take time. Sometimes, it may take several days or weeks to come up with a single solid idea, but it will be time unbelievably well spent.
#2 Sharpen Your Creative Skills
Being a YouTuber is way more than just sitting in front of a camera and talking. It’s a real job. It takes real work with fundamental skills to master.
If you want to make great videos, you must learn how to film, edit, and just be yourself on camera. There is so much that goes into each video from every creator, and while regularly uploading videos is important, if you’re not taking the time to level up your skills, your content won’t get better.
Look back on some of the first videos from your favorite creators. I guarantee you they are probably a little bit rough.
How did they get so good? They challenged themselves to get better, and they improved the skills that they needed to win. Between each upload, there should be time dedicated to learning new production skills and acquiring what you need so that that next video can be even better than your last. Luckily, YouTube happens to be the best place to learn how to be a stronger creator.
#3 Act on Your Video Performance Data
There’s a ton of information in your YouTube analytics, and it can be confusing to understand what it all means. However, there are four helpful questions you should be asking yourself every time you are in your YouTube dashboard:
What’s Going Right? Is there anything in your videos that you should keep doing? Maybe it’s a topic that gets a lot of engagement or a style of editing that your audience loves.
What’s Going Wrong? Is there anything in your videos that you should change? Maybe it’s a poorly designed thumbnail or a title that’s not generating a good enough click-through rate?
What’s Missing? Is there anything you could do to improve this video or add to your future videos? Did viewers leave comments asking for something that you didn’t include?
What’s Confusing? Is there anything in your videos that should or could be clearer? Are you using industry jargon that your viewers don’t understand? Is your new video out of place with your channel’s overall theme?
By taking the time to ask yourself these questions, you’ll be able to quickly look at your video analytics and know where to start. You’ll also be able to make adjustments as necessary based on your answers. If you want to see actual results, you must put in the work and be strategic about it.
Then it’s only a matter of time before you get the results you’re after!
